Starting ABA is a big step, and most families come to us with a lot of questions.
This page lays out everything up front: who we serve, what it costs, what we'll ask of you, and what you can expect from us. No surprises.
We work with children, teens, and young adults from 18 months to 21 years old who:
have an autism diagnosis from a qualified provider (other diagnoses alongside autism are welcome), or a referral for an autism evaluation;
have difficulty with communication, social, play, daily-living, or self-regulation skills, or behaviors that get in the way of learning, safety, or family life;
live in Salt Lake, Davis, Weber, or Cache County;
have a caregiver available during sessions, a home that's safe for our staff, and a way to pay (insurance, Medicaid, or private pay).
When we may not be the right fit. In-home ABA isn't the safest choice for every child. We'll tell you honestly, and help you find the right next step, if your child:
has behavior that poses a danger to themselves or others that can't be safely managed at home with one-to-one staff;
needs inpatient psychiatric care, crisis stabilization, or skilled medical or nursing care during sessions.
Who We Serve
What We Offer
Comprehensive in-home ABA. One-to-one therapy at home with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). We focus on communication, social and play skills, daily living, and emotional regulation.
Focused ABA. Fewer hours a week, aimed at a few specific goals such as toileting, sleep routines, or one challenging behavior.
Assessment and treatment planning. Your BCBA assesses your child's skills and needs, writes a plan with you, and reassesses at least every 6 months.
Parent and caregiver training. Regular coaching so the strategies work in your real daily routines, not just during sessions.
Early intervention and school-age services, from 18 months through age 21.
Community programming. Support in community settings so skills carry into new environments.
School support and shadowing, when the school approves.
Family education and community workshops.
Care coordination and referrals. With your consent, we coordinate with your child's school, doctors, and other providers, and we refer you to qualified providers for anything outside our scope.
Costs and Insurance
We accept the following insurance plans:
Public Employees Health Program (PEHP)
University of Utah Plans
Aetna
Signa
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Medicaid
We bill your insurance directly. You're responsible for copays, coinsurance, and deductibles, and you'll get an estimate of those before services start.
If you don't have insurance, or choose not to use it, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of your expected costs. Ask us anytime, including before you schedule. If your bill is $400 or more above your estimate, you can dispute it. Learn more at cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
What We Ask of Families
ABA works best as a partnership. To keep sessions safe and effective, we ask that you:
Have an adult (18+) home for the full session. That can be a parent, guardian, or another adult you designate
Join parent training at least once a month. Most of a child's day happens outside sessions, and this is where the skills grow.
Set up a safe, calm space. Secure pets. Lock up firearms, medications, and other hazards.
Keep attendance steady. Consistency is what makes progress possible. If attendance drops below 80% of scheduled hours over 30 days, or there are 3 no-shows, your BCBA will meet with you to review the schedule.
Keep us updated on contact, insurance, and emergency information.
Treat our team with respect. Harassment, threats, or unsafe behavior toward staff may lead to services being paused.
